Coca-Cola with Lemon Ice cubes

 

½ cup lemon juice

1 quart of water

Coca-Cola

 

Mix lemon juice and water. Fill ice cubes trays and freeze. Use 3-4 cubes per bottle of Coca-Cola and serve.

    My grandmother used to do this — she would only use crystal glasses and crush the ice. She also would embellish the glass with a perfect lemon slice and serve on a silver tray with a white paper doily. To me, it was true graciousness embodied.
